Experienced Revenue Cycle Director to lead and optimize both Hospital and Physician Billing operations. The Revenue Cycle function has been outsourced to Optum. This role involves oversight of the entire revenue cycle process and oversight of the contractor (Optum), from scheduling, patient registration and insurance verification to billing, collections, compliance and denials. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of hospital and physician billing practices, payer requirements, hospital and clinic operations and a strategic approach to revenue management, as well as communications skills and the ability to lead teams effectivelyEducation:
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business, or related field - Required
Experience:
Five or more years of experience in revenue cycle management, with a focus on both hospital and physician billing.
Comprehensive knowledge of hospital and physician billing codes, medical terminology, and payer requirements. Proficiency in healthcare billing software and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Certifications/Licensures:
CPC Certified Professional Coder - AAPC American Academy of Professional Coders (CPC) - Preferred
Skills:
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and implement strategic improvements. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex revenue cycle concepts to diverse audiences, including executive leadership, clinical teams, and external stakeholders.
